Our Story
Bea’s Music Teaching Aids (BMTA) was founded in 1976 in Dallas, Texas, by piano teacher, Beatrice Carney. Through her teaching experiences with children and adults in individual and group lessons, she discovered there was a need for materials that could inspire and elicit excitement in learning music. So she developed a few wonderful products, including the very popular Bea’s Keys, that have helped piano teachers and students around the world.

Bea Carney passed away in 2018 at the age of 99. Her legacy lives on through her granddaughter, Laura, and great-grandson, Will.
